The Victory Caucus

There is nothing more important than victory; not only in Iraq, but in the global war against Islamic fascists.  I urge anyone who stumbles across this site to join The Victory Caucus and be counted among those who will accept nothing less than victory against the enemies of our great country.

The NRSC Pledge

Yet again our so called representatives in Congress are attempting to undermine this country by giving aid and comfort to our enemies.  I do not have the words to express how important it is to sign The NRSC Pledge; but Hugh Hewitt and Dean Barnett do.  Educate yourself on the subject at http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/.

If you care about our troops and understand the importance of securing the country of Iraq you will sign The NRSC Pledge right now at http://www.thenrscpledge.com/index.php.

What Crawls Over The Devils Back...

Don’t you find it interesting that pundits are telling everyone who will listen that the Republicans lost yesterday because of the ongoing battle in Iraq?  Republicans lost because they flat out refused to listen to the American people; not because of Iraq or any other foreign policy effort.

The refusal to secure this country’s borders, including our ports, was the last straw for loyal Republican voters.  The GOP is lucky their loss is not worse.  The party in power got exactly what it deserved, though they did not get it from me.

Yes, I voted Republican straight down the ticket yesterday.  Right up to the very last minute I was sorely tempted to vote independent in every race.  However, I did my part as an independent conservative and voted against the liberal Democrats because I know the GOP still has a long way to go if it wants to compete with the un-Americanism of the left in this country.

Not one Republican candidate who lost yesterday should be complaining or whining about the country going to Hell in a hand-basket.  Mr. Big Fat Stupid Politician: your stubborn refusal to do what you are told by the American people has been, and will always be, your undoing.  Every Congressman and Congresswoman should pay close attention to the results of this election.  Why?  Because it could happen to you too.  And if you don’t do your job I hope it does.

Time To Vote!

For the best coverage use my blogroll listed on the right-hand side of this site, and listen to the radio. The most important thing of course: go vote! Keep America strong, keep Democrats out of positions of power, and keep some of my past statements in mind when you vote on Tuesday. Good luck America!

An indisputable fact- President Bush promised us, years ago, that he would take the fight to the terrorists on their soil so that we would not have to fight them here. We have killed thousands of terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan since he made that promise.

If you want national security to come first and be handled with at least a minimal level of competence; vote Republicans into Congress and the White House for the foreseeable future.

Is there a significant chance that a sleeper cell, or individual sleeper, is hiding out in Mosques in our country with radioactive material?

What can Americans do to protect themselves and their families against the threat of terrorism? How can average citizens help both inside and outside of the voting booth?

Will the media elite ever decide to actually help our country instead of spending the majority of its time tearing it down?

I hear there is some great waterfront property in Venezuela. I’m talking to you Ms. Sheehan!

The ongoing battle in Iraq is a testament to the generosity of America. We must strengthen our resolve and achieve decisive victory not only for our country, but for the Iraqi people.

How can 11 months be greater than 8 years?

If "progressives" want to treat terrorists and Islamo-fascists as a law enforcement problem, why don’t they support raiding Mosques suspected of harboring criminals?

Terrorist detainees at Gitmo are throwing feces and urine on our troops while leftists, collaborationists, and appeasers in this country defeat our efforts to correctly process these murderers at every turn.

Leaking classified information is a crime punishable by jail time in this country.

Beware the enemy within.

A Must Read

Dean Barnett expresses the outrage of so many of us with his latest post.  If you are reading this blog and have not yet taken the time to check it out, then do so now.  The whole site is great but Dean's post takes the cake today.  It's a well written must read.

The Troops Respond

I know this picture is getting much attention, as it should.  At great risk of being repetitive I am linking to it as well, here.  Enjoy, and God bless the United States military.

John Kerry Is Un-American

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq." –Senator John Kerry (D-MA)

Anyone who asked the question, "Does the Democratic Party really support our troops?" need go no further for the answer.  It’s "No."  What kind of despicable American would make such comments about our fighting men and women?  John Kerry.

Three things happened when I heard this comment from the hateful Senator.  First, blinding outrage and complete disgust with all things Democrat.  Second, the realization that Mr. Kerry never passes up an opportunity to insult America.  And third, I felt shame that any soldier would hear or read it.  The men and women that join our military are the brightest and bravest our country has to offer.  In short, they are our best and do not deserve to be insulted in this way or any other.

Since John Kerry and the Democrats refuse to apologize to our troops for not only his remarks, but the beliefs that his remarks so obviously reflect; I will.  I am not a Democrat nor do I work for or support John Kerry.  I am nevertheless ashamed that these people are considered Americans.  I am ashamed that our troops in the field, and elsewhere, had to hear this come out of the mouth of a sitting U.S. Senator.  I am ashamed that the hard working and patriotic families of our troops had to hear this on their radios and televisions throughout the country.  I am ashamed as an American that our political system has come to this.  And I am truly sorry for the Senator’s elitist remarks and complete disregard for the military that has served this country so well.  A veteran should know better.

Anyone who was undecided in this election needs to pay close attention to what the Democratic Party actually stands for.  Maybe I should be thanking Senator Kerry for bringing the beliefs of his party into the light.

Don't Forget the Judges

While the country is focusing on Iraq, NSA wiretapping, stem cells, interrogations, and scandal, there is an extremely important aspect of your vote that I hope is not forgotten: The appointment of Supreme Court Justices.

As with so many topics today, the decision breaks down along party lines.  For the American people, it breaks down along the ideological lines of conservatism versus liberalism.  Questions such as, "What is the age of consent?", become very important to parents across the country.

Many will tell you that we, as voters, do not get to decide Supreme Court Justices.  Wrong.  The Senate and President that you elect into office make those decisions based on their ideology, values, and pressure from constituency.

Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life to the highest court in our country.  That statement should speak volumes to anyone voting in this election.

William Kristol has a great article in The Weekly Standard reinforcing the importance of Supreme Court nominees through your vote for U.S. Senate.  Check it out here.

Ethiopian Stands Trial For Mutilating 2 Year Old Daughter

This in from Georgia: Read the article here. Words cannot express my disgust and anger.  Take special note of the fact that the "journalist" reporting makes no mention of this savages ideology, which contributed to this horrible act.  They call it an "African custom".  I call it violent criminal activity.  Fortunately, this depraved man is standing trial.

Let's see how much time he actually gets, if they even have the morals to find him guilty.

Duncan Hunter Outraged By CNN Snuff Film

Here are some quotes by Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Ca) regarding CNN’s showing of the Jihadist snuff film.  If you are a conservative politician and have not spoken out about this I have news for you: Being publicly outraged by CNN’s despicable behavior is not a right, it is your obligation as representatives of this great country. Do your job and punish CNN. We are relying on you to be our voice.

Rep. Duncan Hunter:

CNN has become "the publicist for an enemy propaganda film"

"I think Americans like to think we're all in this together. The average American Marine or soldier has concluded after seeing that film that CNN is not on their side."

"nothing short of a terrorist snuff film."

Thank you Rep. Duncan Hunter for at least saying this publicly and supporting the efforts of our troops abroad.  Now, who's with me?

Fred Barnes- Not Afflicted With VDS

As is often the case, Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard is a voice of reason.  I can hereby attest that Mr. Barnes is not suffering from the insidious affliction known as Victory Derangement Syndrome (VDS).  His column, Vote Early and Often, focuses on those conservatives who would have us sit this one out.  Remember who these people are when you encounter one; just because their illness goes into remission does not mean off the hook during '08.  They'll be back and dumber than ever.

VDS - Victory Derangement Syndrome

Definition: To achieve defeat through acts of personal sabotage or by influencing others to do the same through your own affliction.

Every election, it seems, the voters of this great country get to witness a frustrating yet fascinating phenomenon that I call: Victory Derangement Syndrome (VDS). When election day draws near, the idiocy, the hypocrisy, the disconnect, the outrageous behavior, and the ever detrimental ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time fills our newspapers, televisions, and computer screens.

Oh how I wish that this pervasive mental disorder only afflicted the politicians. But no, unfortunately those you may have relied on as pundits are sadly susceptible to this as well. To borrow a phrase from one of the recent offenders, they simply become unhinged; some much more than others.

Let’s start with the politicians. One shining example that many of us won’t soon forget: Allen vs. Webb in Virginia. Each candidate literally tried to out-stupid the other just weeks before election day.

Harold Ford, Jr. crashed his opponent’s press conference and showed his true colors; Dean Barnett provides a good link to this in his Weekend Round-Up.

How could I leave out Mark Foley? The offender resigns and is being investigated by the FBI. Does that matter to the girl-drowning, barrier smashing, drunk driving, pill popping, pot smoking, raping, perjuring Democrats? Of course not! Just weeks before victory is in their grasp they pound the issue to the point of absurdity and bring some much needed focus to their own Foley-like scandals through the wonders of liberal hypocrisy.

I will never forget this moment in my state’s election history. Ann Richards was running against Clayton Williams for Texas Governor. They were both at a debate or conference of some kind and Ann politely offered to shake Clayton’s hand. He rudely refused and stalked off. He soon lost the election.

If you look back you will see that these occurrences happen right before every election, on both sides of the aisle.  It truly is as if these candidates are not in a race to win, but in a race to see who can achieve the greatest loss.

Those of you that follow politics, even rarely, know the symptoms in our candidates; but do you recognize them in our beloved conservative pundits? Here it can be just as serious but for different reasons, and here is where I won’t name names because I respect most of these people and realize they are suffering from Victory Derangement Syndrome, or VDS, and cannot help themselves.

Pundits make silly comments all the time; it is one of the things we so love about them. When they start calling for their side to sit out the election and not vote is where I draw the line between misguided statements and a true affliction of the mind (VDS). Some of the most intelligent and well read people, that I normally support, see victory within our grasp but choose to derail the entire conservative agenda because they disagree on a point here and there.

I had thought that any conservative who would sit out the election or vote for the other side were simply angered during a stressful time; but I now understand that VDS has reared its traitorous affliction and spread throughout our cowardly and unfocussed punditry. Again, mere weeks before election day.

To all conservative pundits and bloggers: At no time is it acceptable to sell your soul to the enemy within in order to make a point or validate your ideology. There are only two explanations. You have either allowed yourself to be railroaded by liberalism (another mental disorder) or you have managed to catch VDS. Stop licking doorknobs because you never know who touched it before you, and wash your hands thoroughly after being in close proximity to a liberal. I’m not a doctor and don’t have a cure for your dishonorable affliction; but I know who does. Paging Dr. Limbaugh and Dr. Hannity!

This is the difference between a candidate afflicted with VDS and a pundit: The candidate destroys himself and loses the election thereby hurting his district or state; the pundits destroy the country with uncontrolled emotional reactions from the peanut gallery disguised in the cloak of loyal conservatism.

Happy election everyone!

CNN Shows U.S. Soldier Assasinated

Has CNN finally gone too far?  Decide for yourself here.  Anderson Cooper makes a pathetic attempt to explain CNN's despicable decision to air this video via their collaborationist correspondent in Baghdad.

Cooper tries to soothe our concerns by assuring us that the decision was "subject to hours of intense editorial debate at the highest levels" over at CNN.  Well I don't know about any of you, but that made me feel so much better now that I understand all of the intellectual nuance behind such a bold decision.  Did this brainless clone of a reporter known as Anderson Cooper even once stop to think about the pain this would cause to all family members of military in Iraq?  This is truly one of the most outrageous offenses ever committed by CNN.

How does viewing an American soldier being assassinated further the story in Iraq?  This particular group of assassins will no doubt go on to commit more murder.  Why did CNN not report the enemy and prevent further deaths?  The employees of CNN are traitors to American ideals and principles.  The American death count is the only thing that matters to them, and helping to actually stop the enemy would only serve to slow the rise of that number.

What can you do?  Stop watching CNN or supporting them in any way.  By helping CNN, you help them help the enemy spread fascist un-American propaganda.

UPDATE:
Some may ask:  What more can I do besides changing the channel?  The answer:  Hurt CNN where it counts, in their pocket book.  Anyone who advertises on CNN is fair game for a boycott.  You can personally write or call CNN's sponsors individually and inform them that you will not be buying their products as long as they support the collaborators over at "Ted's Disgrace".  This is a very simple act you can choose to do while shopping at the grocery or department store of your choice.  Just make sure that you send off an email to those who support CNN when you stop buying their product.  It's as simple as that.  Also, anyone out there invested in Time Warner, who is also angered by CNN, can choose to invest elsewhere.  Remember, if you do, make sure you let them know exactly why.

Thanks for reading.

Victory = Safety

"During all wars we are by definition less safe -- and the surest way back to safety is victory."  This was quoted from Charles Krauthammer's latest column.  As usual Charles is a voice of reason amidst the chaos of scandal inside the Beltway.

The real issues facing American voters this election center around the Middle East and the battles against fascism being fought there.  The leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq enlightened us all recently by admitting to the death of 4000 of his fighters since we invaded Iraq in 2003.  That demands repeating loudly:  4000 AL QAEDA DEAD IN IRAQ SINCE 2003.  That is 4000 dead terrorists that will never again have the ability to murder or disrupt stability in the world.

Republicans, get back on message and start reminding voters what is at stake this November.
