IDF Tactics Must Change to Defeat Hamas in Gaza

DEBKAfile’s military sources report: All that the Israeli military has done so far is to enter the same strip of land around Beit Hanun and Beit Lahiya inside northern Gazan in which it has operated in previous routine operations, with no effect on the Palestinian missile offensive. By deploying F-16 jets for air attacks this time Israel has increased the number of Palestinian casualties but otherwise changed nothing. There was little fighting Sunday because Hamas and Islamic Jihad combatants had pulled back. Therefore without a change of tactics, the situation cannot be changed.

If that is indeed the case, Israel must press deeper into Gaza in order to stop Hamas rocket attacks.  Ehud Barak and the rest of the Ministry must order a full assault on Hamas in Gaza.  A continuous stand-off will not serve the purpose of peace.  Halting the advance won't stop Hamas either; the Palestinians will kill Jews until they themselves are dead.

Palestinian Children Adore Hamas

"The Israelis are the ones who escalated the situation when they killed given Hamas men this past Wednesday," he says. "Now we want more and more attacks, and more and more Qassams. You should hear how the kids speak about Hamas and Jihad fighters adoringly."

"Since Friday we stay in the house and are not going to the market or anywhere else," al-Nadi says. We constantly hear the echoes of the bombings and firing of the jets."

Al-Nadi resides with five more families in a four-story building, but since Wednesday all of them have gathered at the ground floor, for fear of being hit by Air Force bombings.

"The army fired at the water reservoirs on the roof so we have no water, and all that is left is one water tank for more than 30 people," he said. "I haven't eaten since morning to keep food for tougher days.

Palestinian children indoctrinated into the murderous acts and evil of a blood cult.  Hardly a wholesome environment for raising kids.  Leave it to the Jihadists to irreparably warp the minds of anyone they touch, especially their own children.  It's a sick thing to destroy the souls of ones so very young.

Iran, Syria, and Hezbollan Watch Quietly as War Rages On in Gaza

“With all the focus on the south of Israel right now, said Yadlin, we must not forget Iran, Hizbullah and Syria. The fact that they are quiet right now does not mean that they have bowed out of this battle. On the contrary, they are all looking to Gaza in order to see how this conflict will pan out, and this will greatly determine the steps they take next,” he warned.

Hamas is currently under political siege, explained Yadlin. “Very few countries are willing to have diplomatic relations with this organization,” he said, and this has led Hamas to take steps to try and escape this political isolation.

“Hamas reigns supreme in Gaza, “ Yadlin said, “it spearheads all military operations as well as all terror attacks originating from the Strip.”

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert also addressed the cabinet ministers Sunday and stated that “we talk far too much, far more than is necessary, which removes the element of surprise in our dealings with these murderous organizations, and affords them much greater flexibility and preparedness in their actions.” Olmert asked his cabinet to “keep talk of ultimatums, military strategy and the like to a bare minimum.”

The cabinet also discussed the cynical use Hamas makes of Palestinian civilians in camouflaging its rocket attacks on Israel. IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi told the cabinet that several days ago an old Palestinian man was spotted leaving a village in the northern Gaza Strip with a wagon. In this wagon was hidden a long-range Grad missile that was then promptly launched at Israel from a nearby orchard.

Major General Amos Yadlin makes what is likely the most intelligent and informed observation I've read so far concerning the broader aspect of the war in Israel.  What is Iran, Syria, and especially Hezbollah planning today?  I'd being lying if I said that I haven't been extremely worried about that myself.  Hezbollah has been very quiet since this all began about five days ago.  They're obviously waiting to see what happens in Gaza and are planning something typically evil.  What that is only the Hezbos and their counterparts know.  The deadliest terrorist army in the world sits just across the border of Israel and has done nothing at all other than usual rhetorical ranting against "Zionists".  Even that has come infrequently over the last few days.  The strange silence from Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah is disturbing.

Ehud Barak: Hamas "Will Pay the Price"

"The time has come for actions," Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Sunday during a meeting with IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, Shin Bet Director Yuval Diskin, and other senior security officials.

Barak said that Hamas' ongoing attacks left Israel with no choice but to respond. "Hamas bears the responsibility and it will pay the price," he said.

"We disengaged from Gaza, we uprooted communities and Israelis from their homes just so there would be quiet for the Gaza vicinity towns – these are painful concessions that we have made for peace and Hamas continues its attacks," said Barak at the security meeting, held in his office.
"We will use force to change the situation, and we will change it," he said.

Meanwhile, IDF officials expressed their satisfaction with the progress of operation "Warm Winter" in the Strip. As clashes with terrorists in Gaza drastically declined on Sunday, the troops were free to search homes and other structures on the ground. The IDF is interested in continuing its operations in the current format, that is, activity deep within Palestinian territory that includes "clearing" Qassam launch sites, searching structures, and apprehending wanted terror suspects.

Barak speaks of the facts surrounding the current situation.  Israeli citizens were forceably uprooted from their homes in order to give Gaza to the Palestinians.  I will never forget the weeping Jews being literally dragged from their homes by the IDF so that Hamas could occupy land which belongs to Israel.  All to make the Palestinians happy.  All in an attempt to appease the Palestinian animals' want for murder and mayhem.  After destroying the lives of its own people, what did Israel get in return from Palestine?  Hundreds of rocket attacks raining down upon Israeli women and children.  Ehud Barak is right; an extended and aggressive re-occupation of Gaza needs to take place indefinitely.  Israel must defend itself and stop these rocket attacks once and for all.  There is no way peaceful Israelis can go about their daily lives with Hell exploding all around them for the pure enjoyment of terrorist monsters.

While the world watched with upturned noses at Jews being physically removed from their houses screaming and crying to be left alone so they can live their lives in the only homes they've ever known; I wept with them knowing full-well what was to come next.  The memory sickens me to this day because I've never personally endured such horror in my own life.  How could anyone see that and continue to feel sorry for the poor Palestinians who deserved zero sympathy from the world and from God Himself?  Those animals got what they wanted and now look what they've done with the priceless gift given to them by Israel.  Palestine has used-up what should have been their last chance again and again.  It has to stop sometime, and in my opinion Israel is still being to lenient.  I say this again with complete surety: God hates Palestine for what they've done and so do I.

"The ABC's of Radical Islam" by Steven Emerson

On its website Tuesday, ABC News posted a story titled, "Common Misunderstandings About Muslims," which did its level best to carry water for the radical Islamist, and jihadist, movement in America, going so far as to cite America's most notorious radical front group, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as the source to define the concept of "jihad."

Take this incredibly problematic passage:

Misconception: Islam promotes violence and terrorism.

Truth:

According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, prominent Muslims, Islamic organizations and Islamic scholars have repeatedly denounced the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 and terrorism in general. One letter sent to President George W. Bush was signed by leaders from nine American-Muslim organizations, which together represent most of the seven million Muslims in the United States.

Jihad is a term that is often misunderstood and associated with violent radical militants. However, according to Muslim advocates, the word jihad means to "strive, struggle and exert effort." It is a central and broad Islamic concept that includes struggle against evil inclinations within oneself, struggle to improve the quality of life in society, struggle by military forces in the battlefield for self-defense or fighting against tyranny or oppression (source: the Council on American-Islamic Relations).

CAIR, in all its public events, and in frequent quotes to the media and contacts with the government, has tried to push the line that the word "jihad" does not mean holy war; it only means a "peaceful, internal struggle."
On the State Department list of proscribed terrorist groups, a full four organizations use the word "Jihad" in their title. Is the Islamic Jihad struggling peacefully when it blows up a bus or a café? Are they using that word to distort CAIR's vision of Islam? Or do they simply not understand Arabic? Has CAIR requested that they alter their names so as not to foment this "misconception?"

The "official" CAIR-line about jihad is not always spouted by the other Muslim Brotherhood front groups in the United States. In fact, one of the leaders of the Muslim Students' Association (MSA), regional President Amir Mertaban, gave a speech in April 2007 where he said the opposite:

So you never compromise on your faith. You be confident in every aspect of life. In every aspect of Islam you are confident. Four wives? Yes men are allowed to have four wives within this context. Jihad? Yes Jihad! Jihad is the tightest thing in Islam. Don't compromise on these little things. Be proud of it. Why? Because Islam is a perfect religion. If you sit here and you start saying, 'Jihad is only an internal this and that,' you are compromising on your faith. (emphasis added)

The reality is, this two-step is nothing new. To Westerners and non-Muslims, they say that the "jihad" is always and only peaceful. But when talking to each other, as Mr. Mertaban was kind enough to demonstrate, the truth comes out.

Notice how CAIR cites "Muslim advocates" instead of the obvious directives from their Qur'an?  The Jihad terrorists really do think we're stupid.  CAIR should be dissolved in America and its members immediately deported; prosecuted for inciting terrorism at the least.  As the author of this piece asks: is Jihad peaceful when it blows-up civilians to satisfy Allah?  Murdering innocents and "peaceful Jihad" don't seem to mix well for some reason.

Then we have the obvious contradictions of Muslim leaders preaching peace to the general public while the very same Muslim leaders preach hate, death, and fascism to their Islamist audiences yet again fulfilling the commandments set forth in the Qur'an for dealing with infidels.  Islamic Jihadists are only, and expressly, taught to tell the truth to others like them.  The rest of us are to be confounded and lied to at every turn in order to protect and further their violent Jihad.

"The Wacky World of Tariq Ramadan" by Jeffrey Breinholt

Tariq Ramadan is an enigma. The grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al Banna and the son of the late top Brotherhood leader in Europe, the Swiss academic is the probably the most celebrated Muslim public "intellectual" on the planet today. He is no longer welcome in France or Egypt, and his appointment to the faculty of Notre Dame is very much in doubt, based on the Department of Homeland Security's denial of his U.S. visa. The denial is premised on his financial support to Hamas, which Ramadan claims was - ha! - inadvertent. There is now the first book-length English biography of him, a translation of Caroline Fourest's Frere Tariq (in English, Brother Tariq). My review of it can be found on the website of the Investigative Project on Terrorism .

Fourest persuasively describes Ramadan's doublespeak, painting a picture of a radical ideologue with puny academic credentials that would put him squarely in the camp of religious extremists (Muslim and Christian alike) who believe they are divinely inspired to take us back to pre-Enlightenment days. This is no small feat, for Fourest is a feminist and part of a leftist milieu for whom Ramadan's anti-globalist worldview is generally attractive. If she concludes Ramadan is deceptive, we should take notice.

Hit the link above to make your way to Jeffrey Breinholt's review of Fourest's book as well.  An interesting story to say the least.  It always amazes me how these extremists are able to make their way into the intellectual world of liberalism unnoticed.  While liberals are obviously extremists, the one form of extremism they absolutely cannot stand is religious extremism.  A freak like Tariq Ramadan should stick out like a sore thumb.  Credit should definitely go to author Caroline Fourest for her book Frere Tariq.

"A Prince and a Soldier" by Michael Yon

During my recent embeds with British forces, I suggested numerous times that Prince Harry could quietly serve in Afghanistan without the attracting media coverage that would make targets out of him and his fellow soldiers. Apparently the Brits had the same idea. Along with his unit the Household Cavalry, Harry was sent to a forward operation base in the Helmand province.

The inappropriately named "journalists" should be flogged for releasing those pictures of Prince Harry on the frontlines in Afghanistan.  Now a great soldier and good ally has been sent home so that more Taliban can live.  If I'm not mistaken the number of enemy killed by Harry alone was up to 30 before the so-called "journalists" did their work.  Thanks again to the media for helping the enemy.

Israeli Ministers Demand Tougher Sustained Crackdown on Gaza, Hamas Attacks Israeli Food Convoy for Gaza

Sunday, March 2, 40 Palestinian missiles crashed into Sderot and its environs, Five Katyusha rockets were fired from Gaza, four exploding Ashkelon and one in Netivot, the third Israeli town targeted from Gaza. Damage from direct hits to homes was extensive, six people were injured and several civilians suffered from shock.

Four soldiers were injured in combat in Gaza. Thirty Palestinian suspects detained.

One of four Katyushas fired at Ashkelon exploded next door to the home of internal security minister Avi Dichter, hours after he criticized the current Israeli military operation in Gaza for failing to stop the Palestinian missile-rocket blitz on Israeli towns and villages. Just the opposite, he complained to the weekly cabinet meeting: Instead of 125,000 Israeli civilians under fire, there are now 250,000.

The minister, a former Sh*t Bet director, stressed their must be no let-up in operations against terrorists; Palestinian civilians shielding them are themselves terrorists, he said.

Three houses on Dichter’s street in Ashkelon were heavily damaged, a woman was injured and three people went into shock. Israeli military intelligence chief revealed that 90 of the 108 Palestinians killed in Gaza in the last two days were combatants.

The internal security minister, transport minister, Shaul Mofaz added his voice to the demand to crack down in earnest on Hamas and destroy their ability to terrorize Israeli civilians once and for all, however long it takes. No other country would submit to hundreds of thousands of its citizens living under constant cross-border missile attack.

Prime minister Ehud Olmert pledged not to stop Israel’s Gaza assault until the Palestinians halted their missile offensive, but peace talks would go on. He was instantly rebuffed by Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who formally suspended all contacts with Israel. Replying to the UN condemnation of Israel’s attacks as “disproportionate and excessive”, Olmert said: “No one has the right to preach to Israel for exercising its right to self-defense.”

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that Minister Dichter was speaking for the frustrated Israeli commanders conducting the Gaza anti-missile campaign against Hamas. The government is still restricting Israel’s military incursion of the Gaza Strip to 2.5-3 km deep, whereas Palestinian crews are firing missiles and rockets from the relatively safe distance of 6 to 15 km inside the Strip. That is why, Dichter argued, the operation is falling short of its goals, which defense minister Ehud Barak defined to the ministers as halting Palestinian missile fire and cutting down their arms smuggling.

Also Sunday, Palestinian mortar fire was again directed at Israeli convoys heading through the Sufa crossing with meat, wheat and other food for Gaza’s population. The trucks turned back and several hours later got through..

Since the Palestinian missile attacks are being launched from 6 to 15km inside Gaza with the IDF only operating from 2 to 5km, the two Ministers demanding tougher action appear to be correct in their assertions.  The missile and rocket attacks will continue until the IDF reaches the launch locations of the Hamas animals who delight in killing children.

Speaking of killing children, the last paragraph excerpted above should tell you all you need to know about the nature of Palestinian ideology.  Israel does the honorable thing and sends a relief convoy into Gaza to help the Palestinians adversely affected by the war, and what does Hamas do?  Attempt to blow it up so their people can starve and suffer.  The more Palestinians suffer in Gaza, the more sympathy Hamas will have in the liberal media.

A liberal media who by the way is virtually refusing to cover this heavy outbreak of war between Palestine and Israel.  As you can see from this website, all my sources are Israeli news outlets because that's the only place I can get any specific information on the war.  Once again, the American media should be ashamed of itself.  They won't of course because they have no shame.

Senior Saudi al-Qaeda Operatives Killed by U.S. Forces in Mosul

Iraq-Mosul-Yasir-Cell-thumb.jpg

As US and Iraqi security forces position troops to remove al Qaeda in Iraq from its last urban stronghold, Multinational Forces Iraq killed two senior Saudi al Qaeda operatives in the northern city. Multinational Forces Iraq announced today it killed Abu Yasir al Saudi and Hamdan during a helicopter strike at the end of February.

Abu Yasir al Saudi was al Qaeda in Iraq’s emir, or leader, of southeastern Mosul. Yasir fought NATO and Afghan forces in Afghanistan prior to arriving in Mosul in August 2007 “with a group of foreign terrorists,” Multinational Forces Iraq stated. His initial post was as a local cell leader, but he rose through the ranks of al Qaeda in Iraq. He was later appointed as a “key operational leader responsible for orchestrating, as well as participating in, attacks conducted by his [al Qaeda in Iraq] foreign terrorist network throughout the city.” He became the emir of southeastern Mosul after his commander was captured by Task Force 88, the hunter-killer teams assigned to dismantling al Qaeda in Iraq’s network, on Feb. 18.
Yasir also had close links to the leaders of al Qaeda’s northern network and was said to be a close associate of Abu Ayyub al Masri, al Qaeda in Iraq’s commander. Yasir facilitated, planned, and participated in improvised explosive device and small-arms attacks against US and Iraqi forces in Mosul. He was behind an attempted attack using a 5,000-pound truck bomb. Yasir’s cell disguised a truck with markings of a Red Crescent food relief vehicle, but US forces found and destroyed the vehicle before his could be used to kill civilians and security forces.

Excellent work by our soldiers in Iraq.  The Surge, along with our men and women in uniform, continue to rise above and beyond all expectations.  Al-Qaeda in Iraq has been crushed and scattered since the beginning of the Surge lead by General Petraeus.  I certainly could not have asked for more, but we got it nonetheless.  I continue to be amazed at the professionalism and courage of our military in Iraq.  Hit the link above and you can view a presentation of our victories against al-Qaeda in Iraq and see where we stand today.  Few things make me happier than dead Islamo-fascists.

Third Israeli Town Targeted by Hamas, Egypt Re-Opens for Palestinian Refugees

A Palestinian missile hit Ofakim, a town of 30,000, situated 12-15 km east of Gaza and south of Beersheba, Sunday, March 2, crashing into the Salli mausoleum, but causing no casualties.

Defense minister Barak stated that Israel would fight Hamas in Gaza until it was forced to halt its missile-rocket war against Israeli towns and villages. The goal would not be attained in two days and more escalation was to be expected, Barak said. Regarding the Palestinian Authority’s suspension of peace talks, the defense minister said the PA had only itself to blame for the current crisis by letting Hamas terrorists to throw it out of Gaza eight months ago.

Saturday night, the Israeli air force demolished the building housing Hamas PM Ismail Haniyeh’s office in Gaza City. Haniyeh was absent; he and the rest of the Hamas leadership have gone into hiding.

Also from DEBKAfile:

Cairo sent 27 ambulances to the Rafah crossing to transfer some 150 wounded Palestinians in Israel’s ongoing counter-missile offensive to Sinai and other hospitals.

Sunday, March 2, was the first time Egypt opened the crossing since the Palestinian Hamas blew up the border wall on Jan. 23 to permit hundreds of thousands of Gazans to swarm across unchecked.

The war in Israel is heating-up as the days go by.  Hamas leadership remains in hiding and Egypt has opened its border with Gaza for terrorist refugees running like cowards from the IDF.  The only prudent action now is for Israel to completely clean Gaza of Hamas and send the rest into Egypt so their Islamo-fascist brethren can care for them.  Realistically speaking, Gaza should belong to Israel now.  The Palestinians have had the chance to behave themselves, yet again; instead of doing so they elected Hamas and promptly began attacking Israel.  Today the Palestinians are paying for it dearly and crying foul because they aren't being allowed to murder Jews.  Let them pound sand in Egypt where they belong.

Libya Calls On Islamists to Stop IDF Attacks on Hamas

"What Israel is doing in Gaza confirms that the so-called peace process in the Middle East is a ploy to cover up a continuing campaign to wipe out the Palestinian people," Libya's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"This bloody Israeli campaign had laid bare the reality of the aims of the Zionists and their disdain of the so-called peace initiatives," The statement, carried by the official news agency Jana, added.

Israel says it is responding to cross-border rockets that killed an Israeli man in the border town of Sderot on Wednesday and wounded others in the southern city of Ashkelon.

"Libya calls on Arabs to take an urgent position to stop the Zionist machine of mass killing and muster political and material support to rescue the sons of the Palestinian people from this Zionist shoah," The Libyan ministry said. "Libya also calls on the international community to shoulder their responsibility to halt this mass killing."

The Israel deputy defense minister has warned Gazans they risked a "Shoah" If the rocket fire does not stop. The word "Shoah" Is rarely used in Israel beyond discussions of the Nazi Holocaust of the Jews but government spokesmen said Matan Vilnai had employed the word only to mean "disaster".

Here's an idea:  Libya should mind its own damn business and shut-the-Hell-up.  After what Libya's faced in the past they would probably do right to not interfere in operations of the forces of good by stirring-up other Arab countries against Israel anymore than they already are.  What they're saying is that Israel should simply allow hundreds of rocket attacks on their civilians and do absolutely nothing about it other than to jump into the Mediterranean Sea.  Apparently Israel does not see that as an option, and niether does the United States.  Hence the battle group we have sitting off the coast of Lebanon right now waiting to take-on any outsiders who might be thinking of doing something stupid, like joining the conflict or aiding Hamas.  The Palestinians don't need any more help murdering Jews in cold blood.

IDF Completely Destroys Office and House of Hamas Prime Minister Haniyeh

Israeli attack helicopters hit the building with three missiles, the witnesses said, damaging other buildings in the area. The office was empty at the time of the raid, just before 2 am Sunday. About five people were wounded and adjacent buildings sustained damage as well.

A Hamas official declared that "Israel has crossed the line" by striking.

Some 70 Palestinians have been killed so far in Operation Warm Winter.

The IDF confirmed attacking Haniyeh's house, as well as a weapons factory in the Strip. Local sources reported that the IDF attacked a target in the Sudaniya neighborhood in Gaza, killing at least one civilian and wounding two.

Seven targets have been targeted by IAF jets during Saturday night, including three arms caches, three weapons production facilities and Haniyeh's office. According to the Palestinians, five people have been killed in strikes in Rafah Saturday night on the local Hamas police station and a mosque.
A Palestinian security source in Gaza defined the IDF's strike in Rafah as "the height of the IDF's moral bankruptcy, after it realized it has lost the campaign against the armed groups it now focuses on hurting civilians and civilian infrastructure."

Earlier Saturday, two Hamas members have been killed in an IDF strike on a police station in Khan Younis. In a separate strike on the Yarmuk neighborhood, five people have been killed, including a three-month-old baby. Another Palestinian was killed in Jabalya.

May God continue to go with the IDF and the nation of Israel.  If the Hamas animals didn't want their buildings and people destroyed they should stop firing rockets into Israel with the expressed intention of striking civilians.  There are no "civilian" Palestinians, these monsters use children as human shields to drive-up casualty numbers for the media.  To Hamas, their own people are just another number.  If anyone has "crossed the line", it's Hamas and their leaders.

Future of Gaza Operations to be Decided Mid-Week

National Security Cabinet to discuss prolonging Gaza operation Wednesday; Defense Minister Barak, Foreign Minister Livni demand operation be widened. Foreign Ministry prepares to fight off international onslaught in view of death toll in Gaza.

Read the full story at the link above.  Widening and prolonging the IDF offensive in Gaza with the intention of wiping-out Hamas is responsible and utterly called-for at this point.  If Hamas has not gone too far this time the phrase has no meaning.  The Israeli people cannot be expected to live out the rest of their lives in such a manner.

The IDF Plan for Victory Against Hamas in Gaza

The rocket fire from Gaza at Ashkelon prompted the IDF to take the initiative. In the past 48 hours it is no longer Hamas that is escalating the fighting and determining the height of the flames based on its own needs and considerations – rather, the IDF is doing that.

The objective is to create a new erosion equation between Hamas and the IDF. Such equation would exact a much higher Hamas toll in terms of fighters and infrastructure than what was paid by the group before every time it initiated a round of escalation in the rocket terror aimed at Negev communities.

No longer do we have an Israeli military response whose strength is determined by the scope and deadliness of the Qassams as was the case so far. Nor do we see occasional operations by ground forces in the Strip and assassinations whose timing is determined by the availability of intelligence information. Now, the IDF has switched to ongoing methodical fighting from the air and on the ground deep inside the Strip.

This is indeed not the “major operation” discussed in depth in the media. However, the number of troops utilized by the IDF on the ground and in the air in the framework of the current offensive is greater than before, as is the depth of the raids into the northern Strip. Givati and armored corps units are operating between the Sajaiya neighborhood and the outskirts of the Jabalya refugee camp. This area is used as a major operational and training base for Hamas’ military wing and a significant number of the Qassams directed at Gaza-region communities and particularly Sderot are fired from there.

The objective is to exact an increasingly heavy price from the military wings of Hamas and other groups operating on its behalf in the Strip. However, activity of this scope and extent would naturally exact a price from IDF troops.

For the time being, Hamas is not showing signs of collapse, yet all indications attest that its leadership is stressed and concerned. Therefore, it attempts to exert international pressure on Israel by presenting inflated civilian casualty figures. Every 15-year-old gunman hurt in the fierce battles is presented to the media as an “innocent Palestinian boy hurt by IDF fire.” Even a one-year-old baby, who the Palestinians themselves admit was killed after a rocket exploded due to a “work accident”, is presented as a victim of IDF fire.

Hit the link above and read more details on Israel's plan for victory against Hamas in Gaza.  No longer is the IDF allowing Hamas to determine which direction hostilities are taken.  It appears the IDF means business this time around.  Also, take note of the inflated civilian death numbers coming out of Palestine.  I'm convinced they wouldn't even know how not to lie.

Exiled Hamas Leader Mashaal Rants Like a Madman Against Israel

Seeking martyrdom
If IDF forces launch a Gaza incursion, warned Mashaal, all Gazans will confront them: "I have only this to say to the terrorists leading the enemy – Olmert, Barak and the rest of you – decide what ever your want. Should you be stupid enough to enter Gaza – we will fight you… not only will you face thousands of warriors, you will have a million and a half people ready to fight you, ready to die as martyrs," he said.

"With all your weapons you are still cowards… we know you well. You have your equipment to thank for your might. We do not ridicule that, but you use the US, you use the weakness of the Arab nations. This will not last for much longer. We will defeat you eventually," he added.

"I wish I could be in Gaza right now. I wish my four sons could fight and seek martyrdom… why this escalation? We have forgotten the truth – the enemy is always looking for excuses to engage in war.

"Israel is undoubtedly after all leaders, not just those of Hamas," he continued. "Israel will go after Hamas, Jihad, Fatah – everybody. Everyone is in their sights because they are Palestinians."

Mashaal went on and warned that Israel will not be able to topple the Hamas government in Gaza: “What Israel wants is territory, our holy sites; they want our people dead in genocide or in bloody battle, or to chase us away from our homeland…. I tell the Zionist enemy and the whole world that buys into his lies that the Palestinian people are the real victims, and the Israelis are the ones perpetrating crimes.

Cry of the innocents
"We are an occupied people," he continued. "We did not attack anyone. We are the victims and Israel our executioner….we do not want to fight, or for our people to be killed, but we are acting in self-defense against an occupier that has forced this impossible situation on us.

“What alternatives do we have to warfare? We have been trying to reach a peace accord since 1991 to no avail. Nothing happened following the Annapolis peace summit, and we have been trying to negotiate for years. Even our own Palestinians negotiators are beginning to doubt that a peace deal will ever be reached, so what are we waiting for, really?”

He also lashed out at Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, accusing him of "providing a cover for the Israeli holocaust" in Gaza by claiming that Hamas militants were sheltering al-Qaeda terrorists.

“Would a Palestinians actually embrace Al Qaeda? I blame Abbas (Abu Mazen) for allowing this genocide in Gaza. Whoever assumes that the Qassam rockets and Al Qaeda are the reason for this Gaza genocide is merely endorsing it,” said Mashaal.

He also blamed some European countries, without naming them, for keeping silent on Israeli attacks against Palestinian civilians: "It is shameful that some Western countries try to clear their conscience with regards to the Holocaust that took place on their own land by being silent on the real Holocaust being committed by Israel against the Palestinian people," he said.

"We did not attack anyone" raves Mashaal the murdering Hamas leader.  Then who was it exactly that sent Hamas rockets raining down upon Israeli civilians over the last three to four days?  The rockets were proudly fired-off by Hamas terrorists in a concerted effort throughout Gaza to strike death and terror into the heart of Israel.  Mashaal is a liar of the worst kind.  A liar with an army of terrorist pigs.  He can blather on and on all he wants but it won't change the facts.  Israel has tried the peace path over and over, and all they've gotten from terrorists like Mashaal is violent attacks upon their people.  It's all the Palestinians know how to do, so they do it.  Come to think of it, I'm not sure there's one true statement in the excerpt above from Y-Net.
