Two More Terrorists "Escape" from PA Prison

(IsraelNN.com) The Arab terrorists who murdered two young Jewish men at Nahal Telem in the Hevron area in January escaped a Palestinian Authority prison on Tuesday.

One of the terrorists was employed by Mahmoud Abbas' American-trained PA security forces; the other was a Fatah employee at the Sharia Court in Hevron.
Both had turned themselves in to the PA shortly after murdering Achikam Amichai and David Rubin in order to escape Israeli security forces. The Olmert government did not demand to extradite the killers to Israel for trial, but rather agreed to a Palestinian Authority trial and jail sentence.

Israeli security experts expressed doubts about the veracity of the escape story, which has been used repeatedly to cover the PA’s release of terrorists in its custody.

Other ‘Escapes’ From PA Prisons
Two similar “escapes” occurred last month, both in the PA-controlled city of Shechem, in northern Samaria.

Fourteen Fatah terrorists, including Mahdi Abu Ghazale, commander of Fatah’s Al Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades “Night Horsemen” gang, escaped, apparently with the cooperation of the prison officials who were guarding them, on February 21.

Israeli defense officials warned the PA to re-arrest the terrorists within 24 hours or the IDF would hunt them down. The next day the “escapees” turned themselves in to PA authorities just as the IDF began a large counterterrorism operation in the city.

Two weeks prior, on February 8, two terrorists escaped from the same prison, according to the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency. The two were members of Fatah’s Al Aksa Martys’ Brigades and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations.

Both were serving a 90-day jail term, after which they were to be freed under an agreement between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and PA Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas. The agreement was part of the Olmert government’s fugitive amnesty program, one of the numerous “good will gestures” to the PA as part of the effort to prop up the Abbas government.

Those terrorist pigs aren't "escaping"; they're being secretly released by the Palestinians.  All authorized by Mahmud Abbas no doubt.  Allies of Israel, and Israel itself, are so terribly stupid to sit by and watch the Palestinians play the Jews and the world for fools.  What Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran are doing is obvious and beyond doubt.  Our leaders are so busy being politicians they forget to be leaders.  To even say we are fighting a War on Terror while Palestine exists in the form that it does is laughable.  Palestine is a nest of demonic blood cultists with nothing on their minds other than the destruction of all Jews, the original children of God.  Jews and Gentiles alike are commanded to stand together against evil.  Instead we coddle evil thereby supporting our own downfall in the eyes of the Lord.  We are temporally and religiously suicidal and our inaction is just as much an abomination as those we are supposed to be fighting.  Those terrorists are freed from prison with the authority of the Palestinians because we allowed it to happen.

German Chancellor Merkel Adresses the Knesset - Historic

It was Iran's responsibility to convince the world that it was not building atom bombs, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel Tuesday in the Israeli parliament.

'The world must not prove to Iran that Iran is building an atom bomb. Iran must convince the world that it does not want a bomb,' Merkel said in an historic address to the Knesset.

She also expressed unequivocal support for Israel's security.

Condemning Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's 'repeated verbal abuse' of Israel, Merkel warned that if Iran obtained an atom bomb this would have 'far-reaching consequences, first and foremost for the security and existence of Israel,' but also for the region, Europe and the entire world.

'Every German government and every German chancellor before me were committed to Germany's special historic responsibility for Israel's security,' she told the Knesset.

Merkel spoke in German, prompting some five Israeli legislators to boycott her address in protest. Her decision to speak in her own language was 'insensitive' to Israel's Holocaust survivors and their relatives, they complained.

But, opening her speech in Hebrew, Merkel - the first German chancellor or foreign head of government ever to address the Knesset - said it was a 'great honour' for her to be invited to speak before the 120-member house.

The 'mass murder' of six million Jews 'in the name of Germany' was 'without example,' and had caused 'indescribable' suffering to the Jewish people, she said.

Earlier, Israel's parliament speaker Dalia Itzik called on Germany to take the lead in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Welcoming Merkel to the Knesset, Itzik said every Israeli and every Jew throughout the world lived in the shadow of the Holocaust.

'And now, in these days, Iran is preparing weapons of mass destruction. Against who? Against what? My answer is, against us, for our destruction,' she said.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in his address, also cited Iran's nuclear ambitions, saying they represented 'a grave danger to the stability of the Middle East and to the world.'

Not only was it historical and amazing to see the leader of Germany addressing the Israeli parliament, it was also extremely positive to know Germany stands beside Israel in matters of important security to the civilized world.  Iran's nuclear weapon ambitions in the forefront of her speech, Merkel stating that the responsibility lies with Iran to prove its peaceful intentions to the world.  An important ideal of any world leader, but much more so coming from Germany in solidarity with Israel.  I hope against all hope that Germany's involvement with Israel marks a new era in fighting Islamic terror and nuclear proliferation from radicalized regimes around the world.  Obviously starting with Iran.

While I'm always pessimistic concerning security and other nation's honesty where Israel is concerned, I must allow myself a glimmer of hope now and again; without which there is nothing to look forward to in life.  If my country won't stand beside Israel, apparently Germany will.  This is both shameful to me and encouraging at the same time.  May other civilized nations follow in Germany's footsteps.

Obama's Race Speech - Sins of the Pastor

Excerpt from B. Hussein Obama's race speech denouncing "Reverand: Jeremiah Wright:

I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely – just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.

But the remarks that have caused this recent firestorm weren’t simply controversial. They weren’t simply a religious leader’s effort to speak out against perceived injustice. Instead, they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country – a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above all that we know is right with America; a view that sees the conflicts in the Middle East as rooted primarily in the actions of stalwart allies like Israel, instead of emanating from the perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam.

As such, Reverend Wright’s comments were not only wrong but divisive, divisive at a time when we need unity; racially charged at a time when we need to come together to solve a set of monumental problems – two wars, a terrorist threat, a falling economy, a chronic health care crisis and potentially devastating climate change; problems that are neither black or white or Latino or Asian, but rather problems that confront us all.

Given my background, my politics, and my professed values and ideals, there will no doubt be those for whom my statements of condemnation are not enough. Why associate myself with Reverend Wright in the first place, they may ask? Why not join another church? And I confess that if all that I knew of Reverend Wright were the snippets of those sermons that have run in an endless loop on the television and You Tube, or if Trinity United Church of Christ conformed to the caricatures being peddled by some commentators, there is no doubt that I would react in much the same way

But the truth is, that isn’t all that I know of the man. The man I met more than twenty years ago is a man who helped introduce me to my Christian faith, a man who spoke to me about our obligations to love one another; to care for the sick and lift up the poor. He is a man who served his country as a U.S. Marine; who has studied and lectured at some of the finest universities and seminaries in the country, and who for over thirty years led a church that serves the community by doing God’s work here on Earth – by housing the homeless, ministering to the needy, providing day care services and scholarships and prison ministries, and reaching out to those suffering from HIV/AIDS.

In my first book, Dreams From My Father, I described the experience of my first service at Trinity:

“People began to shout, to rise from their seats and clap and cry out, a forceful wind carrying the reverend’s voice up into the rafters….And in that single note – hope! – I heard something else; at the foot of that cross, inside the thousands of churches across the city, I imagined the stories of ordinary black people merging with the stories of David and Goliath, Moses and Pharaoh, the Christians in the lion’s den, Ezekiel’s field of dry bones. Those stories – of survival, and freedom, and hope – became our story, my story; the blood that had spilled was our blood, the tears our tears; until this black church, on this bright day, seemed once more a vessel carrying the story of a people into future generations and into a larger world. Our trials and triumphs became at once unique and universal, black and more than black; in chronicling our journey, the stories and songs gave us a means to reclaim memories that we didn’t need to feel shame about…memories that all people might study and cherish – and with which we could start to rebuild.”

That has been my experience at Trinity. Like other predominantly black churches across the country, Trinity embodies the black community in its entirety – the doctor and the welfare mom, the model student and the former gang-banger. Like other black churches, Trinity’s services are full of raucous laughter and sometimes bawdy humor. They are full of dancing, clapping, screaming and shouting that may seem jarring to the untrained ear. The church contains in full the kindness and cruelty, the fierce intelligence and the shocking ignorance, the struggles and successes, the love and yes, the bitterness and bias that make up the black experience in America.

And this helps explain, perhaps, my relationship with Reverend Wright. As imperfect as he may be, he has been like family to me. He strengthened my faith, officiated my wedding, and baptized my children. Not once in my conversations with him have I heard him talk about any ethnic group in derogatory terms, or treat whites with whom he interacted with anything but courtesy and respect. He contains within him the contradictions – the good and the bad – of the community that he has served diligently for so many years.

I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.

These people are a part of me. And they are a part of America, this country that I love.

Some will see this as an attempt to justify or excuse comments that are simply inexcusable. I can assure you it is not. I suppose the politically safe thing would be to move on from this episode and just hope that it fades into the woodwork. We can dismiss Reverend Wright as a crank or a demagogue, just as some have dismissed Geraldine Ferraro, in the aftermath of her recent statements, as harboring some deep-seated racial bias.

Barack Obama has delivered his major speech on race — and in some parts, he spoke effectively. His observations on the ongoing anger and frustrations in both white and black communities will resonate to some degree, but other portions called into question the behavior of his own campaign in the last couple of weeks. It was probably enough, however, to succeed with its target audience.

First, let’s focus on the main reason for the speech. Obama needed to distance himself from the incendiary remarks of Jeremiah Wright, his pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ for the last 20 years. Did he do that? Not really...

It’s essentially a non-distancing distancing, akin to the non-apology apology. He excuses Wright’s anti-American rhetoric with a mixture of rationalizations. Wright gets a pass because he served in the military, because he grew up in another generation that apparently hated America, and because he does good work in other areas. Obama also makes the curious claim that rejecting Wright means rejecting the entire black community — something other black churches might see as rather presumptuous. Obama essentially argues that the same kind of anti-Americanism can be found in all black churches, and speaks at length about how the legacy of racism and Jim Crow makes this incendiary rhetoric ubiquitous.

Is that true? Hardly. Black ministers have flocked to the airwaves over the last few days to vehemently deny that kind of argument. However, Obama has little choice but to argue this, because he needs to cast his situation as having little choice in spiritual venues.

The nadir of the speech came in this passage about Geraldine Ferraro:

Some will see this as an attempt to justify or excuse comments that are simply inexcusable. I can assure you it is not. I suppose the politically safe thing would be to move on from this episode and just hope that it fades into the woodwork. We can dismiss Reverend Wright as a crank or a demagogue, just as some have dismissed Geraldine Ferraro, in the aftermath of her recent statements, as harboring some deep-seated racial bias.

Some have dismissed Ferraro? Perhaps Obama needs a reminder that it was his campaign that shrieked for Ferraro’s scalp for pointing out how his ancestry has affected the primary campaign. Ferraro didn’t say anything that Obama didn’t say in this speech. And yet the Obama campaign demanded that Hillary repudiate Ferraro in exactly the manner that Obama decried in his speech — and that just happened last week.

Hypocrisy? You bet, and by the cartload.

Other parts of his speech were more effective, especially in describing the black perspective on the continuing effects of racism and segregation. The lack of economic opportunities during Jim Crow did handicap black families from gaining wealth and passing it along to their children. Even with the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960s and their subsequent enforcement, the black community still faced a large disadvantage in education, resources, and access. Affirmative Action turned out to be an imperfect way to address those disparities, and they created a great deal of legitimate resentment among whites who had never offended, which Obama also acknowledges. It’s a nuanced and incisive look into the heart of the racial divide we now face.

Did Obama succeed with this speech in containing the damage? It depends on the intended audience. This speech appears aimed at 795 specific individuals — Democratic superdelegates. Obama needed to show that he can address the racial issues in an inclusive manner, and walk the highwire with Wright by scolding him without alienating the black community. While the delivery was uncharacteristically lethargic, the content probably made the sale.

Unfortunately, he left himself still vulnerable by stubbornly refusing to ‘disown’ Wright; if anything else more incendiary comes up, he will have to address this all over again. He didn’t inoculate himself against future revelations, which is one of the main purposes of these kinds of speeches. We’ll see if that gamble pays off.

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air did an excellent job of refuting the Obama race speech from earlier today.  Great work Ed!

The fact is that the inconsistencies still very much exist between what Obama professes in his campaign and the past twenty years of his life giving regular attendance and having a close relationship with Jeremiah Wright.  Barack says if the only thing you know about Wright are the statements replayed in the media over the past two weeks then yes, you would have a pretty bleak picture of the man and his church.  The problem with that is those statements are so horrible by themselves that no context can soften them.  "God bless America?  No, no, no!  God damn America!" cannot just be explained away by chastizing you for not hearing the whole sermon.  "U.S. of the KKK A." cannot be put into context.  Outright accusing white people of inventing the AIDS virus to murder black people, accusing my country of aiding Israel in "terrorism" against Palestinian monsters, blaming us for 9/11, and accusing the government of knowing about the Pearl Harbor attack while sacrificing soldiers just to enter WWII are recurring themes espoused by Obama's twisted and hateful pastor.

B. Hussein Obama wants to very much have his cake and eat it too.  He believes that one pretty speech can erase twenty years of America-hating racism while allowing him to continue to be part of that church and keep his relationship with Jeremiah Wright.  The question remains regardless of Obama's pathetic attempts to give a non-answer:  How did he attend regularly for twenty years and only just now discover Wright's hateful message, and how can he resolve his intangible excuses with continued involvement in the church?  Obama addresses this only by blaming lack of context and pointing to irrelevent virtues of the pastor.  There is no responsibility taken in the race speech Obama foisted on the public today.  None whatsoever.

Ed Morrissey makes a very good point when he tells us the true target audience of B. Hussein Obama.  Super delegates.  As for the rest of the United States, you are all to be satisfied with pretty references to American history and hopes of disembodied change.  This speech was an insult to the intelligence of the voting public.  Again, you cannot spend two decades of your life living in hate and racism then wash it all away with a candidacy for President.

Abbas Threatens to Do Everyone a Favor, Quit Peace-Talks, and Revel in Fatah Terrorism

DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report that Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas has put President George W. Bush and secretary of state Condoleezza Rice on notice. He has sent them a warning that he means to break off peace talks with Israel unless prime minister Ehud Olmert comes through with concessions by April. After that, he says, the Palestinians may weigh “alternative actions on the ground” – a transparent threat for his Fatah organization to revive the Palestinian “uprising” (terror campaign) against Israel from the West Bank.

DEBKAfile’s Palestinians sources note this is Abbas’ second threat to reignite the Palestinian-Israeli war launched by Yasser Arafat in 2000. Two weeks ago, he told the Jordanian A Dustour , that while he prefers negotiations for now, he does not exclude an alternative option in the future.

Our Washington sources disclose the Palestinian leader’s conditions for the dialogue to continue:

1. The Israeli prime minister must meet Palestinian demands for concessions.

2. Foreign minister Tzipi Livni must satisfy her Palestinian opposition number Ahmed Qureia’s demand for a final list of Israeli concessions on the core issues of borders, refugees, Jerusalem and water.

3. Israeli must halt all construction in Jerusalem and the settlements forthwith.

According to DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources, Abbas’s ultimatum was timed to profit from three forthcoming events:

First: US Vice President Dick Cheney’s visit on March 22. Palestinian officials will emphasize to him that they have run out of patience with Olmert and that some American arm-twisting is needed to make him more forthcoming.

Second: The forthcoming Arab League summit on March 29 in Damascus. Abbas is jockeying for a position that will upstage the Gaza issue, which is high on the summit’s agenda, and steal the thunder from radical Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal’s triumphal performance. For this, he needs a more radical platform than tame submission to the US-sponsored peace line.

Third: A fighting stance would pave the way for reconciliation talks with Hamas on the formation of a Palestinian unity government. This would be applauded by all the Arab rulers present.

For Abbas, time is running out with his own people. A new Palestinian popularity poll in mid-March placed Hamas prime minister of Gaza Ismail Haniyeh in the lead - 47 percent to the PA chairman’s 46 percent. Significantly, Haniyeh gained 10 percent in popularity after Hamas smashed the Gaza-Egyptian border wall and escalated its missile onslaught on Israel.

Fourth: The Palestinian leader is under fire from his own followers for letting Israel celebrate its 60th year of statehood in May without discernible progress toward Palestinian independence. The resumption of a Fatah-dominated terror offensive to mar Israel’s anniversary events might quell the dissatisfaction with his leadership.

Well whoopty-freakin'-doo!  Maybe the fat brave terrorist should actually pick up a gun, head out to the streets himself, and fight the IDF.  Abbas could do the world a favor and get himself killed, going down like the terrorist he is.  Yet again, the Palestinians are demanding concessions be met before they continue peace talks in good faith... whatever the Hell that is.

It is the Palestinians who need to be giving concessions to Israel for everything those terrorist animals have done to the Jews!  More arm-twisting from the United States to Olmert?  The man has no arms for God's sake they've been twisted so much.  Any more concessions and the Jews will be dead!  Which is exactly what that fat pig Abbas is attempting to do.  There can be no peace without more prostrating before the alter of Allah and his murdering Satanic blood cult?  I don't think so.  There can be no peace because Palestinian monsters rape and torture Jews for the sheer delight of it!

If Israel continues to make concessions unto evil, evil will triumph.  Abbas is playing them and the civilized world for fools, and we're taking it.  Rockets and missiles should be raining down on Palestine from Israel, no the other way around!  The problem with Palestine is they have no idea how lucky they are.  Those animals have life in Israel by the grace of Israel through God.  If they keep pushing the Jews, they will rise-up and defeat their enemies.

Israeli Air Force to Procure Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) Fighter Jets

This is reported in the American Defense News. The expanding Palestinian and Lebanese Hizballah’s missile threats to its southern and northern air bases have persuaded Israeli’s Air Force to consider switching its procurement plans from 100 US F-35A stealth jets to the F-35B Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) version, designed to serve the US Marine Corps under fire.

Israel’s southern and northern air bases have come within range of rockets from Hizballah in Lebanon and Hamas from the Gaza Strip, respectively, and possibly from the West Bank too. Air landings and takeoffs have therefore become hazardous. Israeli air bases and installations have been fortified against Palestinian rocket attack from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

“Air base survivability is no longer hypothetical,” said one retired air force general.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that IAF chiefs reckon that in any future flare-ups, the Palestinians will not be satisfied with hitting Sderot and Ashkelon but will go for its main air bases as well.

This information has been kept from the Israeli public as the Olmert government continues to avoid proactive options for knocking out the increasingly dangerous Hamas and Hizballah’s rocket capabilities - boosted by Iran, and remains fixed in defensive mode. This fixation is not lost on Iranian, Syrian, Hizballah and Hamas in charting their assault scenarios against Israel.

Most military strategists warn that a comprehensive ground operation is unavoidable and the longer it is delayed, the harder it will be and the more casualties.

Israel’s designated Air Force commander Maj.-Gen. Ido Nehushtan, who assumes his new duties on April 1, stated at a recent lecture: “Professionally speaking, if Israel wants to prevent high-trajectory rocket or mortar fire, it must establish good control on the ground.” He added: “…if Israeli forces are present on the ground... then we can stop the development and manufacture of rockets and other weapons in time.”

DEBKAfile’s military sources add that the government continues to lag behind Israel’s perceived security needs. The new Lockheed Martin planes will not be available in time for the confrontations widely predicted to erupt over the next two or three years. The rockets already in Hizballah and Hamas hands - not to mention Iran and Syria - may be able to prevent some Israeli warplanes from taking off from vulnerable runways.

Salvation will not come from the F-35B, which is still undergoing initial testing. On March 26, a Pentagon Acquisition Board will decide whether to approve the production of the first six STOVL F-35Bs, conditional on a successful first flight. In April, the first plane will begin propulsion system ground testing, ahead of its first flight by June. Its capabilities in relation to cost have still to be determined. There is no estimated timeline for the F-25B to go into service with the US Marines.

Israeli defense ministry’s director general Pinhas Buchris visits Washington in mid-March to discuss IAF procurements.

Two or three years at least to wait for the STOVL jets to go into action.  That's not near soon enough by any standards, obviously including those of the experts.  Israel's government is criminally negligent verging on treason.

Hama Using Truce to Replinish Their Iranian Weapons

In answer to a no-confidence motion in the Knesset Monday, foreign minister Tzipi Livni said Gaza is the source of terror because it is ruled by terrorists. For them, the truce is a chance to build up their arsenals with supplies from Tehran which reach Gaza through Egypt. The minister said she would meet former Palestinian PM Ahmed Qureia later in the day. Israel would persist in its war on terror, she said, just as it would continue peace talks with “pragmatic forces.”

Re-constituting their ability to murder Jews has always been the only reason for Hamas to adhere to a cease-fire, or that of any other Islamo-fascist army.  This is a well-known and very old tactic used against the Jews and other enemies since Islam began.  At some point it becomes more Israel's fault for agreeing to the cease-fire every time than it does the Palestinian monsters for actually breaking it.  The charade is stupid enough that one almost wonders if Israel is trying to commit suicide.  I don't see why Hamas needs to get weapons from Iran.  People like Olmert and Rice are much closer and probably more willing.

McCain Takes Another Swipe at the Anti-Illegal Immigration Folks

Aside the most obvious case -- his own -- John McCain cited two recent examples of GOP candidates taking a hard-line on immigration to no avail (And note the elbow thrown at a certain former colleague who came after McCain in the primary).

My colleague Josh Kraushaar writes up McCain's comments:

On NPR’s “Morning Edition” today, John McCain suggested that strong anti-immigrant rhetoric contributed to two recent, high-profile GOP Congressional losses – of former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, who badly lost to Sen. Bob Casey in 2006, and Jim Oberweis, who lost the heavily Republican seat of former House Speaker Dennis Hastert this month in a special election.

"I know that there have been some races, like here in Pennsylvania, where Senator Santorum emphasized that issue [immigration] and lost by a large number,” McCain said on NPR.

“We just had a loss of Denny Hastert's seat out in Illinois. The Republican candidate out there, I am told, had very strong anti-immigrant rhetoric also, so I would hope that many of our Republican candidates would understand the political practicalities of this issue.”

McCain campaigned for Oberweis last month, helping the campaign raise about $257,000. Oberweis will be on the ballot again in November, against Rep. Bill Foster (D-Ill.)

During the campaign, Oberweis proposed his own plan to crack down on illegal immigration, and aired a television ad arguing that politicians in Washington "can't seem to fix" the problem.
McCain’s advice is going against the strategy of a handful of leading Republican Congressional candidates. Just today, one of the Republicans’ top Congressional recruits, Hazleton mayor Lou Barletta, invited all three presidential candidates “to come to our great city to discuss the issue of illegal immigration in the United States.”

Barletta, who is running against Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.), has built a national political following over his strident opposition to illegal immigration and the punitive measures that he took as mayor to curb it.

John McCain just doesn't know when to stop digging his own grave.  I see McCain takes no note of the Democrat winners who were using their own anti-illegal immigration campaigns to win elections.  The actual citizens of this country want border security and illegal immigration to cease as much as humanly possible.  Two very simple truth John McCain refuses to accept.  The cranky old fool will go down losing with no conservative base before he admits he was wrong on illegal immigration and takes any kind of action.  This is exactly the sort of moderation conservatives typically want no part of.  If they did, they wouldn't call themselves "conservative".  Instead they would just be regular Republicans, which to most of us is like saying you're a Democrat.

How is that anti-illegal immigration is a losing issue with the people when both Arizona and Oklahoma have passed laws to seriously crack-down on illegals?  So much so in fact that illegals are engaging in mass exodus from both of those states.  Answer:  John McCain is a lying politician first and foremost, and he will be for the rest of his life.

Homeland Security Deporting Hundreds of Thousands of Illegal Aliens!

The Department of Homeland Security, continuing to enforce what it calls a "strict policy of arresting, prosecuting and jailing" illegal immigrants, deported a record number of those caught on the nation's borders last year — more than 280,000 in fiscal year 2007 compared with 186,000 a year earlier.

It was the largest number of illegals ever removed from the country in a single year.

The increase is attributable to what veteran law-enforcement authorities said is a revised apprehension process, adding that the department no longer is targeting only criminal illegals for removal, but seeks eventually to apprehend, charge and deport all those who cross illegally into the United States.

To that end, Homeland Security has initiated "Operation Streamline" along some sectors of the U.S.-Mexico border, which brings illegal immigrants into the U.S. criminal justice system, where they are prosecuted either for a misdemeanor on their first offense or a felony if they have been caught before.

"Under this program, individuals who are caught at certain designated high-traffic, high-risk zones are prosecuted and, if convicted, are jailed," Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said at a recent press briefing.

Mr. Chertoff noted that between October and December, the Justice Department prosecuted 1,200 cases under the new program and, as a consequence, apprehension rates dropped nearly 70 percent in those areas.

"When people who cross the border illegally are brought to face the reality that they are committing a crime, even if it is just a misdemeanor, that has a huge impact on their willingness to try again and on the willingness of others to break the law coming across the border," he said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokeswoman Ernestine Fobbs said the agency's Office of Detention and Removal Operations deported to 195 countries a total of 280,523 illegal immigrants during fiscal 2007 — which ended Sept. 30.

Praise the Lord!  And Homeland Security too!  I can't argue too terribly much with those numbers if in fact they're accurate.  I suppose my next question is: how many of those arrested and deported are allowed right back in to the country while escaping prosecution the second time?  What we don't need is a revolving-door country.  Yuma, AZ is building a literal moat.  A moat I personally wish to be filled with sharks, tigers, bears, and alligators.  Extending a moat across much of the southern border would help to ensure that those deported would not so easily get back in.  Considering our jails are better than "normal" life in many of the 190 countries we deport these illegal aliens back to, I have a realistic concern.  The shark-tiger-bear-alligator moat would go a long way towards securing the country and sending a message to the rest of the world that America means business.

"The Two Obama's That Could" Commit Black-On-Black Violence Through Support of Partial Birth Abortion

From Bigjolly at The Lone Star Times:

Or perhaps I should have titled this “so-called partial-birth abortion”. Because that is the term Dem presidential candidate Barack Obama’s wife used in soliciting funds for his senatorial campaign in 2004.

So-called. Halfway delivering a baby and then killing it. So-called?

Hit the link above and read the whole thing right now.  Excellent reporting from The Lone Star Times today.  Read this report as well to understand how the Obama's are committing black-on-black violence:

A UCLA student group is making a lot of news after releasing shocking examples of Planned Parenthood accepting donations specifically targeting blacks.

How successful has Planned Parenthood been in eliminating the menace of the “black”? Very.

That's right, I said the Obama's commit black-on-black violence.  They both support partial birth abortion and Planned Parenthood, an organization we now find aborts an inordinate number of black babies.  Why do the Obama's help this organization kill black children who are only trying to exit the womb?  Perhaps Jeremiah Wright's hate doesn't stop with just America and white people.  Could it be he hates black babies as well?  The two stories linked above, added together, paint a disturbing picture of Obama ideology and its affects on society.

China Cracks Down on Tibet

The Chinese Army drove through the streets of Lhasa Monday parading dozens of Tibetan prisoners in handcuffs, their heads bowed, as troops stepped up their hunt for the rioters in house-to-house searches.

Shortly before the midnight deadline passed for rioters to surrender, four trucks in convoy made a slow progress along main roads, with about 40 people, mostly young Tibetan men and women, standing with their wrists handcuffed behind their backs, witnesses said.

A soldier stood behind each prisoner, hands on the back of their necks to ensure their heads were bowed.

After the clock struck midnight, more than 100 demonstrators gathered outside the Chinese embassy in London, according to Agence France-Presse.

The protesters chanted "Free Tibet, stop the killing in Tibet!" and "Chinese out!", according to AFP, which reported that the throng charged in the direction of the embassy before being stopped by police.

During the roundup earlier Monday night in Tibet, loudspeakers on the trucks broadcast calls to anyone who had taken part in the violent riots on Friday — in which Han Chinese and Hui Muslims were stabbed and beaten and shops and business set on fire — to turn themselves in. Those who gave themselves up might be treated with leniency, the rest would face severe punishment, the broadcasts said.

China accused Tibetan supporters of the Dalai Lama of attacking its embassies around the world, vowing Monday to protect its territory in the central government's first comments on violent protests against Chinese rule of Tibet, according to The Associated Press.

The statement came as more clashes erupted in other Chinese provinces and a midnight deadline passed for protesters in Tibet's capital to surrender or face harsh consequences. Residents of Lhasa feared a military sweep after midnight, the Washington-based International Campaign for Tibet said.

"The Chinese government will unwaveringly protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity," Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said.

Protests that began in Tibet have spilled over to neighboring provinces and even to the capital, Beijing, where students staged a sit-down demonstration Monday. There have been sympathy protests around the world as well, many of them outside Chinese diplomatic missions.

The worst violence in 20 years in the deeply Buddhist Himalayan region has drawn a tough response from the Government, facing severe embarrassment as the riots threaten to tarnish its image of unity and stability only five months before it plays host to the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Claims and counterclaims from Chinese officials and Tibetan exiles over the number of casualties and a ban on foreign journalists in Tibet have resulted in much confusion.

Champa Phuntsok, the ethnic Tibetan governor of the Tibet Autonomous Region, said the demonstrations had left 16 dead and dozens wounded. Unconfirmed reports from Tibetan exile groups put the death toll at 80 — a claim he denied.

The governor said: “No country would allow those offenders or criminals to escape the arm of justice and China is no exception.”

Speaking in Beijing, where he is attending the annual session of China’s rubber-stamp parliament, the governor said that shops, schools, hospitals and banks had been attacked and bystanders beaten and set on fire.

“If these people turn themselves in, they will be treated with leniency within the framework of the law. If these people could provide further information about the involvement of other people in those crimes, then they could be treated even more leniently . . . [otherwise] we will deal with them harshly.”

The search for those involved began in earnest in Lhasa Monday, as office workers trickled back to work after a weekend of fear when most dared not go outside.

Soldiers began house-to-house searches, checking all identification papers, residents said. Anyone unable to show an identity card and a household registration permitting residence in Lhasa was being taken away.

They described people laying out all their papers on a table in their homes. One said: “The soldiers come in and check that the number of people in each house equals the number of identity cards. Anyone extra may be taken away.”

At government offices and work units, leaders were required to do a roll call of all employees and to account for anyone missing, as the authorities tried to track down those involved in the violence.

A notice from the Lhasa Municipal Procuratorate said: “Criminals who do not surrender by the deadline will be treated severely in accordance with the law.”

The unrest has spilt over rapidly into neighboring provinces in China with a large ethnic Tibetan population. Tibetan students at the NorthWest Minorities University in Lanzhou staged an all-night sit-in at a school sports field before dispersing this morning.

In the nearby town of Hezuo, in northwestern Gansu province, several dozen students from the Hezuo School of Hygiene took to the streets to demonstrate in sympathy for Tibetans in Lhasa but were quickly dispersed by police, school officials said.

The unrest in Tibet began when monks took to the streets on the March 10 anniversary of a 1959 uprising against Chinese rule, when the Dalai Lama fled into exile in India with tens of thousands Tibetans.

Beijing has repeatedly said that the violence was engineered by supporters of the Dalai Lama. He is still the region's widely revered spiritual leader and one of the figures most reviled by China’s communist leadership.

I think China is a perfect place to hold the UN's Olympics.  After all, China being Communist holds most of the views which are dear to the majority of the UN.  Who wants to bet on whether or not Jeremiah Wright and Michelle Obama are blaming the white man in America for the crack-down on Tibet?  You know there's some way it has to be my fault.

When the liberals are allowed to carry-out their sick ideology to its conclusion, Communist China is what happens.  Thank you liberalism for the millions and millions of dead people.  Liberals have murdered more people than all the religions of the world combined throughout history.

B. Hussein Obama Commands! - He Does Not Hate America! - Or Does He? - Yes, Yes He Does - Well Maybe Not Too Much

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (CNN) — Far from putting the controversial issue of race behind him, Barack Obama has decided to address the issue head on in a speech Tuesday.

"I am going to be talking not just about Reverend Wright, but the larger issue of race in this campaign — which has ramped up over the last couple of weeks," Obama told reporters in Monaca, Pennsylvania.

Obama's chief strategist David Axelrod characterized the speech, to be delivered in Philadelphia, as "a discussion on race and politics."

"Given the events of the last few weeks, Obama felt it was time to address the issue of race and politics directly, and what it means in our country," Axelrod said.

News of the speech comes days after the Illinois senator formally denounced controversial sermons delivered by his former minister and longtime friend, Jeremiah Wright. The racially-charged remarks came under fire after being the subject of an ABC News report last week.

Axelrod described the Illinois senator as "a force for reconciliation" and said he wants the opportunity "to put this into context."

Speaking with reporters, Obama said the media is portraying Wright inaccurately.

"I think the caricature that is being painted of him is not accurate, and so part of what I will do tomorrow is to talk about how these issues are perceived from within the black church community for example which I think skews this very differently."

UPDATE: Axelrod later told CNN's Gloria Borger that the Illinois senator has "always contemplated giving a speech like this."

“He will address the broader questions of race and politics, these are complex issues that transcend Barack Obama, and are fault lines in our politics and society, and, ultimately, can be a barrier…They’re easily exploited, and hard to address," he said.

So which is it?  Either Obama's giving the speech due to the "events of the last few weeks" or he's "always contemplated giving a speech like this".  Just as with his America-hating, anti-Israel, disgusting, bile-filled pastor; B. Hussein Obama is attempting to have it both ways.  It's because he's a uniter not a divider folks.  Obama's empty statements which truly say nothing at all are getting downright silly at this point.

Let's recap.  For twenty years B. Hussein Obama has been attending a psuedo-church lead by a pastor who blames the United States for the death of about 3,500 people on 9/11, accuses the United States of knowing about the Pearl Harbor attack before it happened implying a devious sacrifice of American soldiers, says, "God damn America!" and means it, call us the "U.S.-of-KKK", blames white people for all evil things in the world, and of course states this country assists Israel in "terrorist attacks" on Palestinians.  I know there's much more but I think I'm going to vomit so I'll stop there.

Twenty years B. Hussein Obama has been soaking-up this hateful brainwashing.  Now that everyone is being informed of he and his lovely wife's true feelings about their country, Obama tells us he had no idea before his campaign started that his mentally impaired pastor held such an extremely anti-American ideology even though Barack and dear Michelle have been attending for twenty years, married by Jeremiah Wright, and his children baptized by the racist nut.  Then there's this from NewsMax today:

Clarification: The Obama campaign has told members of the press that Senator Obama was not in church on the day cited, July 22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 PM. Our writer, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator Obama's church during the month of July, including July 22. The church holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time. While both the early morning and evening service allowed Sen. Obama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story. Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance. Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007. Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of Sen. Obama several times for comment about the Senator's attendance and Rev. Wright's comments during his sermon. The Senator's office declined to comment.

Contrary to Senator Barack Obama’s claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July 22 when the minister blamed the “white arrogance” of America’s Caucasian majority for the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks.

On top of it all B. Hussein Obama's campaign informs us that while he's giving the upcoming speech due to the discovery of Jeremiah Wright, he's always had plans of giving the speech.  Do these idiots even read what they say?  Do they listen to themselves ever?  The man was caught sitting in the pews during at least one of Wrights hateful sermons just this past July for the love of God!  Am I to believe after twenty years of regular and frequent attendance that July was the only time he heard Wright's insane preachings?  Not only that, Obama said quite specifically that he had no idea Jeremiah Wright spoke in such a way; accurate and completely factual reporting from NewsMax be damned.  I think Obama is getting confused with the voters.  It's the voters who had no idea about Jeremiah Wright and Barack's deep association with the man, not Barack himself.  Silly Democrat, Trix are for kids.

800-Pound Man Hits Overpass

But even the open road wasn't big enough to handle Uribe's dream of celebrating a budding romance and his success in losing about 440 pounds.

Uribe was halfway to a picnic near his Monterrey-area home on Sunday when one of the posts holding a sun-shielding tarp over his bed hit an overpass.

Uribe's blood pressure dropped so much his doctors advised him not to go on and the celebration — being documented by about two dozen photographers and reporters from around the world — was canceled.

"We were going to celebrate that I've been losing weight for two years and that it was my girlfriend's birthday," Uribe said in a telephone interview. "The saddest part was that I couldn't fulfill my dream of taking my girlfriend out to eat."

Uribe says that after losing weight on a high-protein diet he started two years ago, he's down to about 800 pounds.

Last year, Uribe left his house for the first time in five years. Six people pushed his iron bed on wheels out to the street as a mariachi band played and a crowd gathered to see the man who once weighed 1,235 pounds.

At the time, the 42-year-old mechanic rode through the streets of his native San Nicolas de los Garza to enjoy the sun and wave to neighbors.

Uribe weighed more than 250 pounds as an adolescent, and he just kept growing.

Since the summer of 2002, Uribe has been bedridden, relying on his mother and friends to feed and clean him. He drew worldwide attention when he pleaded for help on national television in January 2006.

Uribe says despite the setback, he still hopes to go out with his girlfriend on June 11, when he will turn 43.

"We'll just have to plan it better," he said.

Does he really think taking his girlfriend out to eat is a good idea?  I understand how mean it is of me to state this, but isn't eating the neighborhood what got him there in the first place?  When he reached the 400-pound mark, don't you think it would have been a good time, a really good time, to do something about the weight?  The man weighed approximately 200-pounds as kid "and just kept growing."  That's probably because he just kept eating!  The article doesn't say anything about a genetic disease or any other illness (besides the obvious mental one) which could have been responsible for his massive weight gain.  On the bright side, this shows just how much you can accomplish by simply continuing to eat the world around you.

Midwest Zoos Put "Chubby" Animals on Diet

CHICAGO — Gorillas on Weight Watchers? Polar bears slurping sugar-free Jell-O shots? Giraffes nibbling alfalfa biscuits?

The days of letting visitors throw marshmallows to the animals are mostly history at zoos around the country, replaced by a growing focus on diet and nutrition that parallels the fitness craze in humans.

And thanks to mounting research on wild animals' food needs, today's zoo staffers are trying new feeding tricks to keep their lions and tigers and bears healthy and happy.

Avoiding obesity is part of the program.

Like humans, many zoo animals "like the good stuff. They like the sugary, high-fat food, and they're not moving as much as they're genetically programmed to," said Jennifer Watts, staff nutritionist at suburban Brookfield Zoo, west of Chicago.

Adding to the challenge is that food is used for training and to help keep animals psychologically stimulated. Too much "enrichment" can result in love handles, even on bears and gorillas.

CNN Yet Again Brings Us the Worst from Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The pain here is choking -- it's a dark, suffocating sorrow.

"They took my husband away in front of me. I found his body in the morgue a few days later. He had multiple bullet wounds and his eyes had been gouged out," one woman tells me, forcefully twisting a tissue in her hands as if it somehow could ease her agony and erase the chilling memory.

She didn't want her story told, too afraid that she would meet the same fate as the man she loved.

Her husband's body bore the "signs of torture." How many times has that phrase been used? It's such a common phrase it's as if what really happened gets glossed over: skin scraped off their bodies, fingernails ripped out, horrifying screams of pain before death.

How many times have we reported death tolls from one horrific bombing or another and not been able to get across that these are lives that literally were blown apart? No matter how hard we in the media try, Iraq remains a nation filled with untold tragedies, the scope of which so often is overwhelming.

And no matter how hard Iraqis try to shield themselves and those they love from the horrors here, more often than not they fail. Yet they keep fighting.

No matter how hard the media tries?  All the mainstream media does is report horrible stories like the one you see above from Iraq.  Pretending for one second they're trying hard to paint a pretty picture is asinine!  Arwa Damon and the other mainstream media reporters in Iraq prosecute their journalism from a hotel room for crying out loud!  The real story of Iraq comes from real journalists like Michael Yon, Bill Roggio, and others like them.  This article is an insult to my intelligence, and anyone else who takes the time to understand the work our soldiers are doing.

Speaking of which; where are CNN's stories about the hardships our military faces in Iraq outside of a body count?  Where!  This is outrageous and pathetic!  I'm sick of know-nothing "reporters" sending the most disgusting stories they can find home from Iraq while reporting absolutely nothing on the massive victory our soldiers have achieved along with tribes of Iraqis who have stood-up to al-Qaeda and various troublesome militias.  Blood that leads.  That's the money maker from Iraq for CNN's war reporters.  They're no better than al-Jazeera.

No matter how hard the media tries.  No matter how hard they try there's still more death to report because it's a war.  What exactly did they think would be going on in Iraq when we started helping secular and moderate Muslims fight Islamic madmen?  The mainstream media's only goal where Iraq is concerned is to change your mind.  It's not journalism, it's editorial and opinion they're peddling beneath a cloak of misrepresentation.  Fine one terrifying story, omit any comparison to progress and good, then send it in to be published.  The really sick thing is these so-called reporters are proud of it!

Hillary and Barack Each Beat McCain if Election Held Today

If the election were held today (and yes, we know it won't be), Democratic contender Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton would get 51% of the vote to Republican candidate Sen. John McCain's 46%, the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll estimates. In a match-up between Democratic Sen. Barack Obama and McCain, Obama comes out ahead 49%-47%.

Both Democrats have overtaken McCain since the last USA TODAY/Gallup survey. In that Feb. 21-24 poll, McCain led Clinton 50%-46% and he led Obama 48%-47%.

Gallup surveyed 685 "likely" voters across the nation from Friday through Sunday. It says the margin of error on each result is +/- 4 percentage points. That means neither Clinton nor Obama's lead in the new poll is "outside" that margin. Clinton's support could be as low as 47% (because 51-4=47) and McCain's could be as high as 50% (because 46+4=50).

Keep in mind that polls are snapshots of current public opinion, not forecasts of what will happen in November.

John McCain better get busy or he will find himself too far behind to catch up come November.  As USA Today says however; these numbers are not forecasts.  Keep that in mind and it will help with the sick feeling.  As I've repeated ad-nauseum: this is what we get for allowing the media to pick our nominee for us.  Just because the D.C. Republican establishment feels it's McCain's turn to be the nominee doesn't mean we should have caved-in to them.  The only power those old fools have is the power we loan out to them.  If most Americans realized that, most of the current politicians would probably be out of a job.  What a lovely daydream come true that would be.  Personally, as the days go by it becomes harder and harder for me to see John McCain winning the general election.

No Apology Necessary

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said he stands by his remarks to an Iowa radio station last week that a Barack Obama presidency would be seen as a win for al-Qaeda and other Muslim extremists.

"I don't want to disparage anyone because of their race, their ethnicity, their name -- whatever their religion their father might have been," King told KICD radio in Spencer, Iowa on Friday, March 7. "I'll just say this: When you think about the optics of a Barack Obama potentially getting elected President of the United States -- I mean, what does this look like to the rest of the world? What does it look like to the world of Islam?"

Sen. Obama of Illinois is the frontrunner in the Democratic Party's campaign to elect a nominee to run for president. Despite criticism on blogs and being grilled by TV commentators and reporters, King continues to defend his statements that Obama's foreign policy -- and middle name -- would make his election detrimental to U.S. security.

"The fact that he has declared defeat in Iraq and said he would get the troops out immediately -- that clearly sends a message," King told Cybercast News Service. "Who do you think al Qaeda is for? Who are our enemies for? Who are the radical Islamics for? It's going to be Obama first, Hillary second, because they don't want to face a United States that's determined to achieve a victory."

On the radio last week, King also said of Obama: "If he is elected president, then the, the radical Islamists, the, the al Qaeda, and the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11."

Obama has built a large part of his campaign for the Democratic nomination for president around his vote against the invasion of Iraq. He states on his barackobama.com Web site that "the surge is not working," and his plans to end the hostilities there are detailed.

"Obama would immediately begin to pull out troops engaged in combat operations at a pace of one or two brigades every month, to be completed by the end of next year," the Web site states.

The Web site also states, however, that some troops would be kept in Iraq. It reads: "(Obama) will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al-Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al-Qaeda."

King said a president with the middle name 'Hussein' would send a message.

"With regard to his middle name, it shouldn't matter here in the United States if you are running for president," King told Cybercast News Service. "One of the reasons it shouldn't is because we change our religion; the religion of our father is not necessarily our religion by the time we go through adulthood."

"In the Muslim world, it's different," he said. "The religion you're born with is the religion you'll die with, up to and above the 99 percentile."

According to one expert, however, Obama is just one of many famous Americans whose names have Semitic roots.

"I want to say something about Barack Hussein Obama's name," Juan R. I. Cole -- the Richard P. Mitchell Distinguished University Professor of History at the University of Michigan, who has written extensively about Egypt, Iran, Iraq, and South Asia -- stated in an essay on his Web site. "It is a heroic name, as heroic and American in its own way as the name of Gen. Omar Nelson Bradley or the name of Benjamin Franklin" -- both names being derived from Semitic languages, said Cole.

Cole further said that 14 of the 43 U.S. presidents have names with Semitic roots, including Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Abraham Lincoln.

Rep. King said Obama's name, however, might not be as big an issue if his foreign policy sent the right message to America's enemies.

"(His name) wouldn't matter as much if he was determined to win the war, but he's been determined to declare defeat," King said. "If the commander-in-chief , the leader of the free world and the only superpower in the world, if he declares defeat, you'd have to be a moron to think the enemy aren't going to declare victory."

"When they do, are they going to celebrate? The answer is yes," said King. "They celebrated Sept. 11 and they'll celebrate in greater numbers if he's elected president." Listen to audio

King also is sticking to his refusal to apologize for his comments.

"I don't feel any need to apologize," he said. "I stand by what I said. If I'm wrong, I'll apologize. I'm not wrong and (critics) know it. I'd like to have them stand up and say if they're wrong, they'll apologize."

"Let's have a crow dinner," he said. "Someone will have to eat it, me or them. And I don't think it will be me. And they don't think so either."

Good for Steve King.  There's no reason at all he should apologize for stating the facts.  He's dead-on concerning every statement, and I agree that B. Hussein Obama's middle name would hardly be an issue if he decided to fight for victory in Iraq instead of defeat and retreat.  That however is not the case.  Add-up everything Obama stands for in this election and you get Arab terrorists dancing in the streets claiming another victory; this time without blowing up anything at all or even firing a shot.  While John McCain is obviously detremental to homeland security, I know he won't retreat from Iraq.  Then again, I'm also convinced Hillary Clinton won't retreat from Iraq either.  B. Hussein Obama is a completely different story.  He feels retreat from Iraq and our enemies is the best thing he could ever do as President.
